APP SECTIONS INFO....

- Things to Do -

Large and small attractions, venues, parks and activities.

- Shopping and Treats -

- antiques - vintage and retro - book shops - health and beauty - ladies and men's fashion - specialist hobby shops such as arts n crafts - sports and fitness - gaming and any other interesting, quirky, independent retailers -

- Food and Drink -

We're not trip advisor so you wont be shown with 40 other places and the same number of filters. We aim to just provide a selected number of great food n drink venues ( capped at 7 choices for a larger town, 1 or 2 in villages ) in any given area. Sunday Club encourages people to try somewhere new for their weekly roast.

- Accommodation -

Good for hotels that are totally open to non residents and holiday parks, touring and campsites. Many repeat visitors (the island has lots) will visit to check out places for next time. They'll also be staying at different locations on the island if touring / camping.

- Weather and Tides -

Seven day forecast and daily weather by the hours and tide tables for that day. Nice option for a 'rainy day attraction' to sponsor this page...talk to us.

- What's On -

Even if you live here there's no obvious place to look and those here for just a week wont have signed up to the local social media groups. If you host events add them free via the website or the app.

- Need A Taxi ? -

A handy guide for residents out of their usual area and of course for visitors who wont know any island firms. Sorted by area in which that taxi firm is based or usually has most cars.

- Takeaway Tonight ? -

A handy guide for residents out of their usual area and of course for visitors who wont know any island takeaways. Sorted by area with contact details and whether they deliver. Usually one per food type per area.

- Sunday Club -

A subsection of food n drink - just venues that offer a Sunday Roast menu so why not try somewhere different?

Local Radio

Click and listen instantly to Vectis Radio - the island's community radio station for great sounds and local news updates etc.

Roadworks Alert

Planning a trip across the island? check out this real time map showing all current roadworks to avoid delays.

Volunteering

Do you have some spare time to help out at one of the island charities? This section will show details of help (volunteer only) required by registered IOW charities - what, where, when and for how long. Give them a call and have a chat?

Great Walks

Details of island beaches that are dog friendly all year round. Links to a selection of great walks (with or without your dog) islandwide.

- you'll like this app -

1. If you're a visitor to the island Treat Me Wight combines a guide to selected island destinations and shopping and a Voucherbook of great local deals and it's all on your phone. That means no need to carry anything around or endless googling & multi site searching for information.

2. If you're an island resident then Treat Me Wight is a great way to keep up to date with the latest deals from island destinations you may know or tempt you to try those you don't. You will get a notification when a local business starts offering a deal or promotion.

3. Even for islanders finding out What's On can be difficult. We aim to make Treat Me Wight the go to place to find info on music, theatre, festivals, the arts, car boots, displays and shows and kids days out. If you fancy trying an unfamiliar beach there's a weather and tides guide too.

4. From September there are new features coming to the app.  Handy Takeaway Tonight and Hail A Taxi features - handy contact info for takeaways and taxi firms islandwide. You will also be able to instantly listen to the island community radio station Vectis Radio via the app.
